Time for another instalment in the Haul Report series, your irregular oversight of stuff I added to my collections and hobbies!
And we kick off the week by something very, very modest this time...
Because it's a simple, second hand book. It's also the opening book of the story of the fantastic The Expanse sci-fi series, whose first season covered about the first one and a half books in the series.
I did spend the past period cruising around to some thrift and goodwill stores, and scored a nice set of books while doing so. From Kringloop Wijnegem came Deltora and the Bolitho book, while Opnieuw & Co in Mortsel yielded me the elves book and the third book of the Mortal Engines series.
But I also have been adding items for my LARP gear, as Celtic Merchant had a promotion on the bags section of their website. That way, I picked up a sword bag, a money pouch and a regular pouch, because those are things you will always need after all...
Archonia send out my latest issue of My Dress-up Darling this period, so that is even more reading material!
While my order from Agents of Gaming also came to the mailbox, allowing me to now field at least 5 points of Raid level in every era of the Earth Alliance.
It's also the period people tend to put boxes of books outside for people to take along for free, which of course triggers my inner Ferengi. But sometimes, it also contains some nice little gems, like this volume from the Beast Quest series.
A parcel from Vinted arrived as well this period, in which was contained The Shadeborn, an Aelven warband I was still lacking and definitly want to play one day, as the leader is a fantastic miniature.
My birthday also fell in this period, so a lot of goodies came my way, thanks everyone. First of these was an order for my Belgian army from Warlord Games, an order I made including the birthday budget my mother granted me.
From my beloved Thorin and Noshi, I received Edge of the Knife and the new Spearhead core set Sand and Bone.
More books and Underworlds in one go, as through Vinted I managed to get my hands on one of the novels around the game, Harrowdeep.
From CCGWinkel in The Netherlands, I obtained some cheap 10mm terrain from the Argatoria range, coming at 7 euro a pack. This will serve to be my entry for the next Artizan Contest, whose deadline is in October, and will be a "camp" for the game.
From Bol I got some "hobby essentials" in the form of more plastic inserts for my binders, for all those printed rulebooks, as well as a small size 15x10 picture album to store my Underworlds and WarCry warscroll cards in.
The next piece of haulage came from a gaming buddy who sold his Sons of Behemath spearhead. I told him I would need only 1, very maybe 2 of the giants to rebase and repaint as a Citizen Giant for my The 9th Age army, and the other(s) will go back on the trading pile.
Of course, no celebrations without a beer gift, as my mother brought this along from her citytrip to Durbuy...
While shopping for some additional price support for Into the Under-Ekeren III, I picked up a sale of the Horns of Hashut dice, as well as an extra bottle of the Dark Blue for my Chaos Dwarfs (I pick these up now wherever I can, as it didn't go over in the new Vallejo range).
So that was a strong period of haulage, onwards to the next heap!
