So here we are, the first order received from alternate sources now post Brexit.
The first tested store: Turol Games from Spain.
I made the order on the 24th of january, and got a dispatched mail on the 27th. The actual parcel arrived then on the 1st of february.
As you can see, this is how it was packed, and what the contents where.
I went for an older line of models, the anime styled figures from Relic Knights because they still had a wide selection. The whole range is about 7% off, and considering the high roller prices these are sold on eBay and the likes even pre-Brexit as "hard to find", that is not a bad number.
The online store is easy to navigate, and signing up only took a few minutes. You can select to become a registred member for some benefits as well, which offers loyalty points... but not on discounted models, which is about everything in the Miniatures Section, so that really doesn`t have any use...
Shipping then. Spain isn`t cheap, like Belgium, and using Seur Classic, the cheapest option, that still adds 18.15 euro to the total. An additional downside is that paying by Paypal also mounts to a 3.4% + 0.35 cent surcharge, so in the end you have around 4% discount only.
That means the total order of goods for 34.60 euro came to a total of 55.34 euro invoiced, and the only free shipping on the site is 50 euro + for mainland Spain only.
So in conclusion, is this a viable source for my miniature needs?
+ They have some obscure miniature lines that I like still in stock
+ Easy to navigate webstore
- Unless paying by international bank transfer or MasterCard, the Paypal fee kills the reduction
- Not much use for the Loyalty sytem
Will I order from them again? Yes, for my RK needs, but I doubt for much else outside that which can be found at other sources should I get more testing done in the coming weeks.
