Recently, Games Workshop released a new plastic version of the Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl team, so I immediatly pre-ordered them together with the Spike! magazine covering their rules.
And as such, also signed up for a Blood Bowl league at the club, Tin Soldiers of Antwerp.
That league, the third season they are running, will involve playing at least 10 games over the course of a year, so that should be do-able. While the Bull Centaurs where sold out when I made the order, these will be, together with the Star Players, for a later date to order.
And that means it's my 5th Chaos Dwarf team (the classic, a Greebo team,
a Gaspez Arts team and a resin printed one are all around here
somewhere) that will be assembled, and these guys will be painted up in
the blue and gold colour scheme I adopted for rebuilding my collection.
But they remain with the name I always called my BB teams, as my online persona ever since CDO was still a messenger group (I am THAT old) has always been called Lord Aldades Vongalazthag.
But the base team was painted up, and that includes the two new player types for the team!
The Hobgoblin linemen
The new Sneaky Stabbaz
The Chaos Dwarf blockers
The new Chaos Dwarf flamesmiths
And the odds and ends like a ball and the markers
So that is one complete team, ready to rumble in the League. Okay, I am aiming on the return fixtures, because I hope to have an idea of the game then again, and crawl a bit up the ladder, but for this league I don't foster to many hopes.
Yet, you never know if some wins drop out of the sky, and if I end with a 5 wins at the end, I will be MORE then happy! My game plan in the first games though will be to foul the opponent to high heaven, before trying to actually score in the second half of the match...
