Black Lagoon

 Airing all the way back in 2006, this series has been on my to watch list for over a decade now.

And I heard many good things about it.

When Rokurou, or Rock for short, is offered up by his employer in a criminal dealing, he suddenly finds himself recruited by Dutch.  Together with Revy (how sexy can an anime gal be!) and Benny, Dutch runs the Lagoon company of mercenaries, offering Rock a new home and purpose.

Casting away his business man life, he has to learn the ropes of becoming a mercenary, including a run in with crazed germans still believing in the Reich (the confrontation between the captain and Revy was hilarious) and a colombian drugcartel.  And the housemaid of a hostage who puts the T-800 to shame...

It was indeed a really good series, exchanging humour with ultraviolence, and making it a very enjoyable viewing experience.  Also... Revy.

Highly recommended, and it is currently on Netflix to boot!
