The only thing Orktober that isn`t an orc, the Moria Dragon does of course feature in the Moria list as one of the bigger hitters amongst the tide of small warriors.
But it was finished this month due to a painting challenge over on Instagram, ran by Lady Khaine.
You see, Instagram has a great community for wargaming, but the majority of those present are all about Warhammer 40k. So when the challenge was uttered for "Xenos and Mythical Monsters" I decided to jump on the bandwagon. And what is more a creature of myth then a Dragon?
Even though I realised I wouldn`t probably even make it to the top-8 shoot-outs, that way I would at least have a dragon finished up. And a heavy hitter it is, because this is the old metal version GW made, good enough to cave your opponent's skull in with should the battle not go your way.
As a Hero of Valour he can bring some Goblins along, and taking two of the permitted upgrades, being Fly (obviously) and Tough Hide (just a bit of the model inspired me, it's a metal hard as nails figure), this is a 350 points monster for the Moria hordes.
And perfect for the finale of the Battle Companies campaign that was featured in White Dwarf...
