Spider-Man: Homecoming

Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is back where he belongs: in the MCU.

And after the first outing in the Civil War movie (yeah, I was one of those extatic cheering ones when he suddenly popped up in the "big fight"), he now goes his own way.

After the battle of Berlin, Peter returns to his all day schoolife, while being the local hero as well.  His friend ned accidentally discovers his identity though, and when they go out to a party organised by his crush Liz, Peter comes onto some alien tech weapon trafficers.  These are part of a gang run by Adrian Toomes, whose company was forced out of business by Tony Stark 8 years ago.
Using stolen tech, they create superweapons, but Peter gains possession of a piece and decides to stop them, while Toomes uses a supersuit making him the Vulture and overpowers Peter.

Later, after being reprimanded by Tony for putting innocents in danger, Peter discovers Liz is Toomes' daughter, and that he plans a heist on the transport taking tech from Avengers Tower to their new base.  He intercepts the Vulture and ultimately saves his life.

A really enjoyable movie, and I like the youthfullness Tom Holland brings to the Spidey role, including of course the signature quirky remarks.  Slowly but surely I`m finally catching up on the MCU moves (I just didn`t get round to them...) and I like the lightness and tone of this one.  A lot!

Spidey is back, and he still remains one of the most iconic Marvel characters with right and reason...
