Dragon Nest: Warrior's Dawn

Next in our Fantasy movie marathon, we have an animation movie, adapted from the video game of the same name.

Now, usually this is a pretty risky thing, as usually video game adaptions tend to be.. weak.

Set about 50 years before the actual game, where a Black Dragon is seemingly on the brink of re-awakening.  Decades ago, an alliance of Elves and Humans defeated the large beasts.  But since then, the alliance relationship has disintegrated.

Princess Nerwin, of the Elves, knows that the only way to defeat the returning monster is a reforging of this alliance, and comes across the path of a young hero named Lambert (and his very cute two furball like dogs).

A band of adventurers is formed to set out and distract the beast before the main alliance army arrives, but one in their midst is corrupted by darkness, while two other carry a secret... as they are half-dragons!

While this movie hasn`t been a bust, and the animation is okay (think off the Final Fantasy movies and such), you just have the impression that it is all one big cutscene.
It just goes "to fast" between how the heroes and companions are formed, and the moment the dragon is already awakened.

Rating: 5 / 10
