Today, we are tackling a classic from 1989, when Pirates became the next shiny thing in the Lego-verse.
The Castaway`s Raft was a small 41 piece set, which also contained a shark to go with the three merry sailors that where stranded on it.
The build is based around a technic axle duo, with round bricks over them to create the floaters of the raft.
On this, a plate is added over two technic bricks, and then small barrels where added on the ends of the axles to get that nice wooden look.
The mast is then raised in the middle of the raft. This sail looks like it is actually made of dirty laundry hanging from a pole. It won`t be efficient to actually sail, but it gives the set a nice rag-tag feel.
And the full set stands completed:
A true classic, especially since Lego brought out a new pirate series this year, adding to the nostalgia feeling of this small set.

That looks pretty familiar like I had it 25 years ago and probably still lives in my moms basement as pieces.
