So, a Manhwa instead of a manga this time (which is basically, a South Korean manga), and one from 2002 that I got in that huge box I received in januari.
It was just a small adaption that this one goes left to right as Tokyopop published it that way back then...
Dabin is the daughter of a big South Korean crimeboss, who loves his aide and childhood friend Eugene. She is transferring to his school to hopefully get closer to him, but he sees her more as a little sister. After putting Black Rose, the local bully of her current school, in her place, her first encounter at her new school goes awkward, resulting in her appearing before Eugene in her panties...
She learns that the boy, Shihu, is actually the son of her father's enemy and that they are assigned into the same class. She starts settling in at class, making some friends along the way. But then her father picks up that she is talking about Shihu to the house-aid. However, using every trick she knows she manages to deflect the issue and get away with it.
Shihu causes her to get into detention, but she goes as far as even becoming a school monitor to get back at him, even letting him clean toilets. But when she runs into Eugene and one of his female classmates, he describes her as nothing more then a baby sister.
Shihu and Dabin's rivalry continues though, in class, in the gym... and during a field trip to an amusement park, Party Land. Not to be done by her, Shihu goes in a set of rollercoasters with her, but this ends up with him throwing up in the toilets after asking her for help, and Dabin even feeling sorry for him...
Okay, so we can guess where this will be going! I have volume 2 as well, but I doubt I`ll actively search for the remaining 6 unless I can pick them up in a bargain bin somewhere. The series doesn`t really "click" for me, but we will see how it advances in the future...
