Arknights: Rise from Ember

 The third season of the JRPG based anime Arknights, and well, it was okay, just like the previous two.

 

Because who doesn't like sci-fi bunny girls with huge magical swords...

 

Now, this season is a bit of a two arc story, on the one hand there is the concluding storypart, on how the war continues and moves towards it's conclusion as both sides face-off.  But on the other hand, it also delves deeper into the background, and dark pasts, of the main characters like Talulah.  And what a grim back story she has!

 

What we get as such is trauma, and lot's of it, as war is a grim thing and the gloves are definitly off in this (for now?) final season, with some of the characters not making it to the end.  And it also looks into the motivations and moral compasses of both the "good" and the "bad" guys.  And I put that between parenthesis because there is a huge grey area in it.

 

So if you enjoyed the previous seasons, or like the video game, be sure to check out this season as well, you won't regret spending the time for the 10 episodes at all!
