Disenchantment season 2

 Well, it only took Noshi and me a few years, but we are catching up on this amusing satire cartoon on Netflix now.

Starting of course with the second season, about 3 years after we saw the previous one hehehe...

 

The series starts with Beanie sailing out with her revived mother.  But in the new homeland, she learns her mom actually wants to sacrifice her.  She escapes with the help of Lucy, and they literally go to hell to bring back Elfo from the dead.

 

 

In her homeland of Dreamland, they manage to de-petrify the inhabitants, as Bean's stepmother becomes a pirate captain after divorcing her father.  Now Bean must pick up her old life again, but is being haunted by a strange music box given by her mother. 

Through various stand alone adventures, focussing mostly on Bean trying to cope with her feelings and her dad, King Zog, trying to become a more respected king, the series has some awesome gags.  But alas, it also lacked in my opinion some direction without a truly overarching story this season, which meant it felt odd connecting (or trying to) episodes together.

But, some good entertainment in the end, and now onwards to season 3 in the catching upping...
