Hello everyone, and today I'm telling you a tale of the closing of the summer holidays, with a trip to the zoo of Antwerp.
I am a passholder there, so I can go an watch the aquarium whenever I want if daddy and mommy go with me!
And this time, I took my friend Nina along, before I want to show her just how awesome the fishes are!
During this period, there are also all kinds of amusing stories being told, like how this doctor gets calls from the animals to have a look at them and help them out with small problems.
We also went to the butterfly garden, where these colourfull little animals flutter around your head.
Before going to look at the little monkeys, who are always playing around.
The penguins where having a gathering, while the chimpansees where loving all the attention to received from the public. Though I didn't find dads joke of "look Thorin, a mirror" funny, he does realize I look like him yeah?
We also looked at the giraffe's and the tapir's from close by, though the Zoo's newest resident, a pigmy hippo, was enjoying the sun a bit of a distance away.
On the african enclosures, zebra's and rhino's strolled around calmly. Those armoured tanks sure are impressive!
And after going through the penguin house, we came to the best part of the whole zoo...
... the huge aquarium, I love this place so much I decided in the afternoon to go back there for another stroll!
From there, it went to the repitle house with all it's turtles, snakes and Komodo dragon's.
Back outside, we strolled past the Alpaca's, they remain funny looking cuteys...
While the lions where watching all that was happening around them.
The final building we did was the bird house, with all it's colourfull little birds, very enjoyable to listen to their tweets and chirps I must say.
Oh, and in between, we went for lunch in the McDonalds right outside the zoo, because sunday is a day that calls for fries hihi...
And so a fun day out came to a close, as I said goodbye to my friend Nina for now, but we would go out on a trip together soon. But that is a story for another time!
