With a couple of 2000 points tournaments still coming up in the final months of 2025, I decided to paint up some war machines I had lying around on square bases.
Because well, most I have are still on round bases from T9A.
The first as such is a Magma cannon, a model I had lying around from the excellent Fabelzel line of models. I didn't have the crew though, so I build some by bashing together some extra Norba Miniatures bodies I had left, and some Mantic arms to go with them.
While the cannon itself is a bit on the small side compared to the Forge World train, the model needs to be based on a 50x75 mm square, so actually it suits it nicely for this purpose.
A nice little project, now to paint up some more units for the tournament... just because I can.
