White Dwarf 491

Time to have another look at an issue of the Games Workshop in home magazine, White Dwarf.

At the beginning of the year, at the Aalst Underworlds tournament, I obtained a nice stack of older magazines for nought, and been flicking through them on and off.

Now, let's have a look through it after reading them, and have some opinions.  I do say, I am not into the whole 40k universe thing for years, so those won't be getting to much attention on my part for the reading, but the things that caught my intrest I read of course.

This issue's cover is all about the Tau and inspiration for their septs.

First of all the community pages, before Worlds of Warhammer takes us to how collections come into being.  The Bunker talks Combat Patrol league's this month apart from the usual scenarios and paint guides, but also a set of rules for Warhammer Underworlds.

The first section this issue is for Age of Sigmar, kicking off with some Lore, and hor Lore influences the rules when they are written.  An in-depth look is made then at the Seraphon, as well as the Harbinger models.  For Warcry, they took a look at the Royal Beastflayers and the Questor Soulsworn with additional material and scenarios.

Moving to the 40k part next, and a Tale of Four Warlords update.  We then arrive at the coverstory, with some paint schemes for of the Septs.  Some more lore on various Space Marines, about inductees from the chapters.

More on the Blood Bowls Forge bowl is next, together with a short story from Black Library, and that rounds out the issue.

The Underworlds rules looked fun, but all in all not really an issue I was very wild about.
