Wish Dragon

 The second movie we binged during a recent Netflix afternoon, Wish Dragon is a chinese / american / canadian production from 2021.

And it wasn`t a bad film at all, I liked it even more then Vivo which we saw the same weekend and which I gave an opinion on two days ago.

The movie goes about Din, who is being raised by his single mother.  One day, he finds a mysterious jade dragon teapot, which contains the gold obsessed wish dragon Long.  It turns out Long used to be a greedy emperor, who was send back to Earth to serve 10 masters for his behaviour in life, before he can enter heaven.

But a criminal organisation, ran by Mr Wang, the father of his best friend La Ni, is after the pot as well.  But Pocket's, Mr Wang's head goon, betrays him and goes after the pot for himself, killing Mr Wang in the process.  Long opts to return to Earth though as he arrives at the heavenly gates, and restores Mr Wang by granting Din's third and final wish.  However, as the price for bartering with the gods to be able to do this, he must do another cycle of servitude...

A beautiful made animation movie, this is one of those films that leave you with a smile and a "warm feeling" after viewing.  Surely recommended to take a peek at!
