Dumbo

One of the big live action movies Disney put out last year, this remake of the classic cartoon about a flying elephant stole many hearts.

Because Dumbo is just darn cute!

Set in 1919, Holt Farrier returns to his family and the travelling circus he worked for before the war, but has lost an arm fighting in France.  The circus is dwindling though, and Holt gets the job to care for the newest elephant, Mrs Jumbo.  Soon she gives birth to a calf with unuasually large ears...

His children soon discover the little one can fly thanks to them, and the circus soars, resulting in Vandevere, who opens an amusement park on Coney island, to want and buy the little elephant, where he should fly with a french trapeze artist, Colette.

Soon they learn that Dumbo's mother is also in the park, but Vandevere wants to dispose of her, and fires the original troupe.  This results in them making a plan of not only freeing the mother, but bring her and Dumbo back to their native lands.

This Tim Burton movie is beautifully made, and Dany deVito is gigantic as Max Medici.  The movie is also far less sadder then the original cartoon, Noshi having cried only once this time...
