Deadman Wonderland volume 3 - Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Jondou

 The story continues in the crazed prison world that is Deadman Wonderland.

Now placed in G Ward with the other Deadmen, Ganta meets Minatsuki, a young and innocent looking girl that loves flowers.

She is also the sister of Yo (the con-man friend of Ganta) who is trying to amass so many CP he can buy her freedom.  But in the next Carnival Corpse, they are opponents!  Once the battle starts though, it turns out the innocent girl act is to mislead Ganta to false security, as she is a crazed psychopath in reality.

Yo steps in to try and protect his sister, telling her he knows she lied when their mother was crushed to death in an earthquake.  But she immediatly uses him as a living shield to try and overcome Ganta in the fight.  He uses ricochets to take down her Branch of Sin, before headbutting her and winning the battle.

After the battle, Ganta starts remembering more and more of his connection between him and Shiro in their youth, even though we learn she is actually The Wretched Egg, aka the so called Red man.  In the hallways, Ganta is ambushed by a woman called Karako, who works for the Scar Chain.

This is an anti-establishment group out to bring down the prison and it's sick ways.  In order to gain his trust, they rig the machine that would take a bodypart from Minatsuki, so that they only have to cut her hair.  But a strange monk intervenes their meeting, out to kill them after beating up Yo first, as Shiro arrives to save the day.

Now to get the next volumes in order to move beyond the anime in a few books, and finally learn more of what happened afterwards!
