That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime volume 12 - Fuse and Taiki Kawakami

 Next on the reading front this year, we have the 12th volume of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

With the children saved from their curse thanks to Rimuru and some spirits from Ramaris's realm, his days as a school teacher are coming to an end for now.

Meanwhile in Tempest, Youm's party has returned, joined by Mjurran, a mage.  But she is actually being forced by Lord Clayman to spy on the monster nation as he controls her physical heart.

The rapid development of the nation also makes others nervous, like the Kingdom of Falmuth that has seen his trade revenues slashed.  They look towards the Holy Western Church to launch a Holy War against the monster nation....

As Rimuru says goodbye's to the children, he is unable to teleport.  Caught in an anti-magic field, he is confronted by the mighty hero of the Holy Church, captain Hinata, who is bound to destroy him and his nation.  Rimuru must see to survive with his powers severly limited by the barrier, while she goes on the attack.  He survives her barrage of attacks by a rouse with a body double, but can`t seem to contact his hometown afterwards, sensing something seriously amiss.

The King of Falmuth has approved a Holy War against Tempest, yet for his own, riches focussed gains.  It starts with the infiltration of three off-worlders into the city.  While they start making some trouble in the city, demon lord Milim for some reason has declared war against Lord Carrion and the beast nation of Eurazania.  Meanwhile, the attack on Tempest takes form as barriers are erected around the city...

So that leaves our heroes in a tight spot as peace is disturbed.  Let's reincarnate into volume 13 and see how it goes on!
