Code 8

A canadian superhero (well, anti-hero perhaps is a better word) starring the Amell brothers from the Arrow superhero series...

Though "lead" and "support" hero are switched around this time.

In the not so far future, people with special powers are relegated to secondary citizen status.  Unless they have special permits, they are forbidden to work using their abilities.  Connor, a young man looking after his mother with braincancer, makes his wage as a daypayer construction worker.  But one day he gets picked up for a job that turns out to be illegal, but good money.

He decides to join this crew for a bank robbery, in order to get enough money for his mother's treatment, but when this goes wrong they make a plan to heist a transport of Psyke, a drug that the government tries to destroy every month.  They are set up by their handler, a local crimeboss, and have to fend for themselves and plot revenge...

It was an okay movie, though I was genuinly suprised it had no happy ending at all, bonus points for that.  It's good for an afternoon hour or two of watching entertainment, but don`t expect a Marvel or DC movie here!
