While DC has a largely known series of animated movies, the Marvel equivalent is actually shorter, but not less in quality of stories.
I watched this 2006 release, based losely on the first 6 issues of the Ultimates comics line, and it was rather good actually.
Plot
The story begins as Captain America is trying to stop the Nazi`s from launching a superweapon, and ending up frozen in ice as an aftermath.
Flash forward to current times, and Nick Fury recovers the supersoldier from the ocean, to help him overcome an alien thread to Earth. To do this, they must initiate the Avengers Initiative.
In this, mighty heroes (Cap, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Ant Man and Wasp) bundle their powers to try and overcome the menace.
The initial mission goes all wrong due to the individual nature of the heroes, who aren`t used to working in teams, but in the end they do overcome their problems and the enemy.
