Work is being done on our demo board for the 29th of september, with the batteries recharged after a short vacation in Prague.
Noshi will be tackling not only the bridge during this session, but also finish off her Grub Hut from Warbases today.
Noshi will also be doing "the behind the scenes" work on our game, by creating the simplified playsheet I wrote for the game, and the reworked scenario which is basically the one that came with the book, but with the mouse exchanged by Pikachu and the stats a bit modified to accomodate for the smaller warbands.
But as such, after today we made progress on these different fronts:
* the road "end" at the waterside has been scraped off where the bridge will come, and the road has been repainted first with Heavy Sierra, then drybrushed with Flat Earth.
* the river itself was painted with Intense Azure, then drybrushed with Magic Blue. "Streaming" was added using Bavarian Blue and Ice Blue.
* Biting the bullet, I also started painting the underside bone white for the second "use" of the tile, to become a display board for my Emperor's Children models.
* To tie this all together, the sides where painted Terracotta from Vallejo, as this was 1. a colour I have a few bottles of an rarely use, and 2. a bit of a common ground to go with the flocked green on top and the white of the bottom. Both the edge and the road then received a wash of Chestnut Ink.
*Once that was done, the board is now complete for the game of Burrows and Badgers, all that has to be done is placing the scenery on it, and then I`ll show the board once all figures are done and posed on it as well.
* Noshi finished the bridge and her house for the board, and more detailed pics of those will be following during the coming week in all probability as well.
Noshi will be having a look at the creation of rules and scenario plates, so once that is done, we can give the game a trial run...
And to that end, Noshi made some great playsheets, which I'll post once it is all done and ready!
