The challenge continues for yatora to get into the prestigious Tokyo University of Arts.
And in order to further prepare for the exams, now only 100 days away, the prep school course is split into smaller groups.
For his first assignment, he must create something he cares about, which brings a challenge to him as he can't paint something he sees, and that is a first for him. His creative challenge pieces don't come across though, and he goes to seek out guidance with his art class teacher from high school. But as the exams come ever closer, he keeps doubting his art as he feels it doesn't draw him in.
Yuka, troubled himself, takes him along to see Mori, the girl whose angels painting inspired him to take up art in the first place. He misses out on her, but seeing her newest piece does give him the answers he was looking for. He finishes a large painting about bonds in art class, and earns high praises for it, lifting his spirits and confidence. But unfortunatly, his final competition piece doesn`t do well, as miss Ooba finds it a recycled piece of that bonds painting.
Yotasuke gives him a call but hangs up immediatly, making him wonder what it was all about. But winter break is upon them, and he has a list of assignments to handle. With those, he learns how he can use things from all around the house as well as tools for making art, when he receives another call from Yotasuke to ask him to meet up. They talk out how they see each other on new year's eve, and the seeds for their friendship was planted.
So that was another intense volume, time to get the next ones and continue this tale...
