The Quintessential Quintuplets volume 7 - Negi Haruba

 The cuteness continues as we tackle the next volume of this loveable series.

How will the girls adapt now that they are on their own feet?  And will they manage to bring Futaro back as their teacher?

Futaro and raina spend New Year's with the quintuplets, whom are trying to figure out a way how they can pay him to tutor them.  He agrees to do it "on credit" though, and they start preparing for the third term exams.

In order to relieve Ichika a bit, who is taking on extra acting gigs to pay for the house, the other sisters consider taking on jobs, while Futaro, now that his tutoring isn't paid, goes to work in a backery.  But Ichika comes into the store for some movie scenes, confessing to Futaro how hard it is to carry all the costs herself and that she does this for her sisters at the expense of studying.

Itsuki meets with their father while Nino, Yotsuba and Futaro are grocery shopping, but they overhear their talk.  It seems if they are failing the third term exam, they will be transferred to another school, but Yotsuba intervenes telling him they will succeed with Futaro's help.

But as Valentine's day approaches, Miku wants to make chocolates for Futaro, but is a terrible cook.  Nino decides to help her, and as Futaro likes her result, she decides to become the best of the sisters in the exams, building up her confidence to tell him how she feels.  But first, to relieve the last stress, they go to an amusement park together.

Yotsuba tells him she is the reason they transferred schools, as her sisters passed exams bu she failed, and they stood by her unconditionally.  For that reason, she really wants to pass the exams now, so she doesn`t become the reason they must change schools once again.

As we see how every Quint lives up in the final days to the exam and what drives them to try and pass, they actually manage to do so.  Nino meets with their father telling him they will try to remain independant a bit longer and getting jobs.  He doesn't seem to agree as Futaro comes to pick her up, telling him he will take care of his daughters.  As they drive off, Nino confesses she loves him on the roaring motorcycle.

Did Futaro hear this confession on the motorbike?  That is something we will have to see in the next instalment of this series!
