Attack on Titan The Final Season - The Final Chapters part 1

Okay, so if anyone can still count how many final seasons the final season has, let me know...

But technically, this would be season 4, part 3, part 1.  Roight.  And it counts a full TWO episodes, which are aired together in one 1 hour long special, adapting chapters 131 to 134 of the manga.

And then we wait another half year for the next part of the final season, and while I think AoT is pretty neat (sorry, I`m not on the uber-hype train as some), i think it is finally time to finalise the final.

And get rid of pretty boy Eren the Supervillain.

But okay, to the point, this short season parter then!  The, let's call it a movie for easiness sake, begins with a very dramatic sequence of the Rumbling taking place on the Marley continent, including a flashback of Eren apologising to a child that he will be killing later on.

On the ship, Annie and Armin bond together, a romantic relationship blooming but she decides she has fought enough and won't be joining the team as they are preparing to take off and fight Eren.  Misaka still believes they can bring Eren back to his senses, when Floch appears, having survived the previous season after all and damaging the plane before being killed by Misaka.

As the Rumbling appears at the airdock, Hange Zoe decides to buy them time, realising this is a suicide mission.  She names Armin her successor as commander of the corps before engaging the titans and doing more damage then expected, but never the less she dies in the end and gives us a view of the afterlife as she meets the others that have fallen again.

Annie and the ship leave with the kids, Gaby and Falco, while the plane takes off to Marley's last fortress.  Eren calls out to them, telling them it is no use to stop him as he has no other intention then destroying the whole world so the people of Paradis will have total freedom.  On the ship, Falco approaches Annie telling her he seems to have certain memories of Zeke though.

In Marley, a train full of Eldian refugees arrive at the last hold out, right on time to see the last fight of humanity as the airships take off for a bombing run.  But these are taken out by the Beast titan that is immerged into the Founding titan.  But then the team arrives, Levi and Reiner going after the Beast just as the others engage the Founding titan.

And now we have to wait for who knows how long for the next instalment, and see if they can succeed in stopping the genocidal Eren.  While another great (short) season though, I personally can`t get used to the Mappa style.  Most call it great, but I in a way still prefer the original art style of the earlier seasons though, but of course that doesn`t detract from a great story.

Now let the discussion with Noshi begin again wether Eren is a villain or a saviour (I`m camp villain btw)!
