Darker Shades of Elise

Riding on the erotic movies hype of the 50 Shades era, comes this british thriller, so me and Noshi selected this for our mevening weekend movie.

Well, it was thrilling and fascinating... for all the wrong reasons.

Elise is a housewife who is starting to feel more and more neglected by her career working husband Ric.  When one day she goes spying on him to make sure he doesn't have an affair, she meets the mysterious, hot photographer Felix, and starts an affair with him.

But in her search to explore more and more of her sexual desires, she makes love with multiple men, all arranged by Felix who makes picture material of this.  When she decides to end the relationship as her husband feels like her slipping away and want to make amends, Felix resorts to violence, blackmail and even have her used by other men to show his power over her.

When she comes home after being used as a toy, she finds Ric and her friend Bianca injured and tied to a chair in her apppartment.  A crazed Felix is there as well, telling her Ric and Bianca had an affair, and that he is there for her alone.  This results in a huge fight, and in the end she smashes him down with a hammer.  Six months later, she and Ric are living by the seaside, and she is pregnant of their boy.

Though god knows who of all the men might actually be the father...

What a heap of rubbish was this, bad cinematography, crap acting... and yet, until Felix went of the hook, it had an actual story.  I personally expected her to become his fulltime sextoy after finding out of the affair between her husband and best friend, now THAT would have been an angle not seen coming.
But the movie is full of mistakes, like during the finale Felix running out on the roof terrace, only to appear out of the toilet a floor lower moments later... that kind of errors.

Just avoid this mess...
