Build report: Duplo 10971 Wild Animals of Africa

So, here we are with another build report of one of little Thorin's new Duplo sets, from the Animals series.

It's also the first time I noticed the typical red rabbit of the Duplo logo has actually been restyled...

This set, the smallest of the various Animals series (the animals of Europe was sold out all over the place here in Antwerp as we wanted to grab that one actually), is another nice little box to give your child at the holidays.

Opening the sturdy cardboard box, we get two uber cute animals, a few bricks to build the surroundings, and a cardboard playmat for the scene to be played out in.

Build wise, there are two pieces of scenery to be made.  The first one is a tree consisting of a plate, a trunk and a canopy elements,

while the second one is a small waterfall also made of three pieces.

The next thing to do is to fold open the playmat, and then all the little pieces can be placed on there, giving your little one a nice scene to play with.

I actually thought this a nifty little set to be honest, and the elephant cub is just to adorable, even Thorin is more of a giraffe guy.
