Call of the Night

 After completing Made in Abyss's 2nd season, the evening entertainment on anime level for me and Noshi became this highly rated vampire story.

And the cuteness of Nazuna is bonus, she can bite me anytime hehehe.

Kou is a loner, who suffers from insomnia.  He is bad at forging relations, not getting what love and liking is all about.  When he roams the streets at night, he meets Nazuna, a strange girl that takes him along to her place.  Here she bites him to feed, but he is actually aware of what happened and wants to become a vampire himself.

However, in order to become one, not only does he needs to be bitten, he also needs to fall in love with her, giving him a purpose in life at last.  During one of his nightly strolls, he meets Akira anew, a girl whom he met years ago and is like his only friend.  When Akira goes to the appartment of Nazuna and Kou, they try to explain to her what their relation is all about and what Kou's goals are to become a vampire himself.

Looking for things to do during the night time, Kou realises he is slowly falling in love with her as he experiences jealous feelings when they are at a pool party.  Later on, Kou is kidnapped by a vampire coven to which Nazuna belongs, and he learns he has to fall in love with her within a year.  Talking with Akira about that, he realises suddenly that it would mean they'd kill him if he doesn't...

He diecides to hang out with the other vampire ladies as well, in order to get to know their personalities a bit more.  This leads from karaoke singing to a mystery in a maid cafe, as he tries to understand what drives them and how they see the world.  One night, he returns to his campus with his schoolfriends to make some nice memories, as they run into a vampire.  They are saved by a vampire hunting detective Kou met earlier, and who wants to prevent him from becoming one himself.

But the encounter with the blood-denied Vampire in the school leaves Kou in doubt, and talking it over with his friend, with the detective and with Nazuna makes him think about exactly why he wanted to become a vampire.  But after spending the night with a femboy vampire and talking, he realises all he wants is Nazuna.  Looking her up, they finally admit to their mutual feelings and kiss...

And that end theme, it just sounds so cool.  It is the kind of song that sounds all Balkan rap, that one expencts on Eurosong from Serbia or such.
