Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Every once in a while, a movie starts on the telvision you didn`t planned to watch, but for some reason you sit through it.

That's what happened one saturday evening a while ago, when they gave the secondJack Reacher on the belgian television.

Though I admit, I never even saw the first one, as these aren't the sort of movies Noshi or I are attracted to by default, and when you see them pass here on the blog it is for just that reason as stated above.

After busting a human trafficking ring on US Army land, drifter and former Army military police officer, Jack Reacher, returns to his old military headquarters to meet Major Susan Turner, holding his former command, whom he has been working with by phone during his travels. He learns from Colonel Sam Morgan that Turner has been accused of espionage and detained.

Turner's attorney, Colonel Moorcroft, reveals that there is evidence that Turner is involved in the murders of two soldiers in Afghanistan, but Reacher believes she is being framed. Moorcroft also reveals an old acquaintance of Reacher, Candice Dutton, has filed a paternity suit against him, claiming he is the biological father of her 15-year-old daughter, Samantha.
Moorcroft is later killed by an assassin known as The Hunter, framing Reacher for the murder.
Reacher and Turner uncover surveillance pictures of Samantha and surmise she is in danger, arriving at her home to find her foster parents dead and Samantha hiding.
The trio go to New Orleans in search of Daniel Prudhomme, the only eyewitness to the murders for which Turner has been framed.

It wasn`t to bad a film at all actually, and especially Tom Cruise put down a solid performance (heck, he might have his rounded corners, but he is a good actor).

Will this make me watch the first film?  Probably not, but I didn`t feel like watching some total garbage either for 2 hours.
